Hi oVie! Good questions! With regards to travelling, the main way will be by using the Stargate like in the show. However, some planets may not have Stargates so you will need to find another way to get to them - ships being one of the possibe options. However, player controlled ships won't be in the initial release. As for worlds, they will vary in size. Some will be vast open spaces but some may just be a goa'uld ship. I can't really think of another game to compare it to. This game will be very different to most others in terms of the environment. WoW is basically two very large zones - you transfer between areas without noticing it. However, SGW will have a lot different planets of differing sizes. :) ~Bunty |

There won't be player controlled spaceships in the original release, nor will there be space battles in the original release - they may come in an expansion. As for the look of player characters, there will be customisation options. You will be able to change your outfits in the game and your changes will be reflected on your character. So, for example, if you equip a P-90, you'll be able to see it and if you equip desert gear (like on the show) it will show on your character. ~Bunty |

Yes and Yes!! Guilds (called 'commands' in SGW) will be a big part of the game, we're very excited by the response that we've already got. We have guild forums on the official forums, and we already have dozens of new guilds that people have set up for the game. Guilds will have special features and we would like to encourage people to take part in guilds. That being said, if you're not in a guild you'll still be able to experience the game's content :) For everyone else, here's a recent quote about PVP:

To be honest, I doubt that anyone's really thought about server names yet! I haven't heard anything about them anyway. I doubt that we'll find out until we get to beta :) ~Bunty |

For a start, instances will be used sparingly. They'll only be used for truly epic adventures. As for the sizes of groups, the game will focus on four person teams, like in the show. That doesn't mean that there won't be bigger sized groups ;) ~Bunty |

Master Looter Posts: 1088 Joined: 16 Oct 2004 | I would guess if you wanted to you could put the symbols in... however about the hundredth time it would get boring and you would be looking for the list I'm guessing you get the options for both

Master Looter Posts: 1088 Joined: 16 Oct 2004 | Yes, I can actually answer this one.... Yes the answer is yes. well there will be a problem with you and your brother with who gets to play when but.. I have to use wow as a example.. I know people who have up to 4 account running at the same time. So unless they do something different yes you can have two account at the same time.

I used to play WoW on 2 comps at once on 2 accounts.

Great thread to discuss ideas on this topic:
If the game will be anything like wow, then you can have as many Games running as your connection/computers can handle. I can run 3 copies on my PC, or 2 with HIGHEST graphic settings, LAN Centre's run between 10-50 games simultaniously, and obviously the more PC's and higher speed u go the more u can run. I expect it to be similar with SGW -Naz

I actually have 2 questions ;)
How can players travel, will it be by ship through universe or with a Stargate?
and,
How big will the world of SGW be? With which game can we compare it?
greetings,
oVie
